The Pelvic Floor
The pelvic floor is the area of the body at the base of the pelvis, located between the sit bones, pubic bone, and coccyx. This region contains muscles that support the pelvic organs, genitalia, and sphincters.
The pelvic floor plays a crucial role in reproductive health, as well as sexual and excretory functions. Understanding the pelvic floor’s structure and functions, becoming aware of this part of your body, expanding your range of sensations in this area, and learning to tense and relax these muscles are essential components of health and well-being for everyone.
Somatic practice helps you connect with this intimate part of the body, learn to control muscles you may not have even been aware of, and master techniques that can help you care for yourself daily.
What to Expect in the Workshop:
-
Functional anatomy of the pelvic floor area
-
Practical anatomy of the bony landmarks of the pelvis
-
A somatic lesson for relaxing the nervous system through breathing
-
A somatic lesson focused on awareness of the pelvic floor area
-
Exercises for independent practice

-
Men and women who want to establish a connection with their bodies and learn to sense and understand them

How Does It Work?
The workshop is based on revolutionary modern methods of somatic retraining. These methods are incredibly effective because they work with the human nervous system and leverage neuroplasticity. Specially designed somatic exercises will help you explore, sense, and better control the muscles of the pelvis and pelvic floor in different positions, breathing patterns, and everyday movements, as well as their corresponding functions. By deeply immersing yourself in body awareness and experiential anatomy, you will begin to understand and differentiate the work of all layers of the pelvic floor and sphincters.
Upon completing the workshop, this new awareness and knowledge will be integrated into the dynamic functioning of your entire body.
