Due to isolation, there has been a significant decrease in physical touch in our lives. Many people are experiencing tactile hunger. This is the first in a series of videos designed to help you replenish tactile sensations through touch.
In this video, you will explore a somatic practice focusing on touching the face. Gentle touches to the skin, the facial bones, and the facial muscles enhance facial sensitivity, relax the face, and clarify the “map” of the face in the brain.
This practice creates a feeling that the face becomes larger, softer, and more defined. Facial expressions become more expressive, and your internal state also shifts. Ultimately, you begin to love yourself more and accept your face as it is, without trying to fix or improve anything.
